As we transition into a more social world we see constantly that some people are more influential on social media than others. But how do we gage that? How do we look at someone’s social media and tell that they are more or less influential than others. Klout answered out lasted media need buy coming out with a klout. What is does is it takes all of your social media activity together to come up with a specific score.
There are many different attributes that go into a social media score. It is put into a computer program that has many different algorithms weighing different parts of the social media channels more or less than others, making sure that the numbers are accurate representations. For example 100 tweets from 100 different people will have a higher score that 100 tweets from the same person.
Some top scores raisers for Facebook are mentions, likes, comments, and friends. For twitter they are RT, MT, and followers. Klout also takes into account your google+, instagram and foursquare. Some people with high sores are individuals like Barack Obama, Justin Beiber and Brittney Spears.
